Abstract :
In this paper, we describe a numerical tool elaborated to simulate the behaviour of an EDFA and a DFB laser diode in order to help the design of these two optoelectronic devices in the setting of the development of a simulator for the whole optical telecommunication link. We present the different models chosen to study these devices, and discuss the various results obtained using this numerical tool.
