Research on Education and Training Oriented Virtual Collaborative Training Environment

Computer Support Collaborative Work (CSCW) leads to many changes in the field of education and training. Aim at the problems of high expense, fixed training sites, restricted trainee number or time that existed in the widely used simulation system for using it to execute training in the field of education and training, the paper researched on the construction of Virtual Collaborative Training Environment (VCTE) based on CSCW and combined with technologies of Agent, Web, VR, Computer Support Collaborative Learning (CSCL) and etc. The concept of VCTE was defined, and then architecture of VCTE was constructed. The typical application with VCTE was also analyzed. The VCTE constructed in the paper is practical, migratory and flexible as well as high cost performance.
