Abstract :
Covariance control theory is applied to a practical engineering project, the ASTREX facility. The approach used is to construct an assignable state covariance X which satisfies some requirements on system performance and then design a controller which assigns this X to the closed-loop system. The application of multiple-constraint control of this facility is reported
