Abstract :
The robust residence time control problem of linear systems subject to both time-invariant small-norm-bounded parameter uncertainty and small additive white noise perturbation is considered. The notions of robust weak and strong residence time controllability are introduced. Sufficient conditions for robust weak and strong residence time controllability are discussed. If the uncertain system is strongly residence time controllable, any residence time is possible. If it is weakly residence time controllable, the achievable residence time is bounded. For each of the robust weakly and strongly residence time controllable cases, state feedback controller design techniques are developed. The results can be regarded as extensions of those given by S.M. Meerkov and T. Runolfsson (1988)
