Abstract :
Difficulties likely exist in optimal reservoir operation along with discreteness and nonlinear constraints. The purpose of this paper is to aim at overcoming these defects. The particle swarm optimization algorithm with optimizing ability in the continuous field is suggested for reservoirs optimal operation to solve the bottleneck in the optimizing process caused by discreteness. Moreover, in order to tackle the nonlinear constraint problem, this article use annealing penalty function and chaos variation operator to efficiently improve the shortcomings on reservoir optimal operation. The results show that the particle swarm optimization algorithm is applicable to optimal reservoir operation.
