  • Abstract
An adaptation method is proposed that suitably fits a 3D human body model to the range data acquired by a 3D measurement system. The proposed method realizes the situation where the range data for a human being is interactively dressed in the 3D human body model by the operator. The range data is treated as a rigid object like a statue and the 3D human body model is treated as an elastic object like a wetsuit. Thus, the operator is able to fit the model and adjust mismatched parts interactively, as if the operator dressed someone in a wetsuit. In this paper, three models adapted to the range data for a mannequin and two human beings are shown as experimental results
