Abstract
In order to determine how closely commercially available surface acoustic wave (SAW)-stabilized oscillators approach required acceleration sensitivity, a market survey of both fixed frequency and voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) is being conducted. The results will provide a greater understanding of the ability of commercial vendors to satisfy the hostile vibration environment of the battlefield. A preliminary report on devices tested to date is provided
