Abstract
This article is an overview of information modelling for manufacturing systems. The subject of informatics is used at all levels of manufacturing systems or in a manufacturing process. At the present time, many information means exist for use in information modelling for manufacturing systems. One of the most important means is an international ISO 10303 standard also known as STEP.
