  • Abstract
    We propose a design tool implemented in Matlab. The developed design tool is used to compute the component values of two power converter topologies (boost converter and Cuk converter) with power factor correction (PFC). The design criteria of both power and control stages are taken into consideration. The software displays the schematic of the PFC preregulator and computes the value of components. The proposed tool is a useful instrument to design a PFC preregulator and is also suitable for teaching activities.
