Abstract
The design of dual-mode quartz resonators free from anomalies on both fundamental and thermosensing modes and having appropriate electrical parameters, maximum possible frequency versus transient temperature stability, low aging and frequency hysteresis is reported. Plano-plano plate resonators of rectangular contour are shown to be well-behaved on both fundamental C-mode, at 10 MHz, and on B-mode, at 10.9 MHz, over a -50 to +70°C temperature range
