Abstract :
The analysis of electromagnetic wave scattering by finite metallic conical screens has received much attention in connection with prediction of the radar cross section of a target. This problem serves as a simple model of horn antennas and materials defects. We consider the scalar wave diffraction by a perfectly conducting finite cone as a basic problem for the given geometry and analyze the scattering field patterns. The considered approach is based on the exact analytical inversion of the asymptote of the infinite system of linear algebraic equations
