Abstract :
In this letter, we propose to assess the extra power needed in wide band code division multiple access (WB-CDMA) systems due to perfect power control. First, we derive analytically the expression of the average of this extra power. Then we study its evolution with respect to the number of paths, their average power and their delay spacing.
