Abstract :
A capacitive angular transducer under development for industrial and military applications is described. An operational description based on the physical configuration of the transducer under study is presented in terms of a lumped parameter model. From the mode, analytical operational performance criteria, i.e., frequency response and accuracy, are developed, analyzed, and supported with experimental data. Model results are used to develop criteria for the instrumentation interface and operational specifications for the transducer system
