Abstract
In this paper, a compact G-shape, ultra wide band microstrip fed antenna with band notch characteristics of satellite communication is proposed. The proposed antenna of a circular slot cuts in the patch to achieve a band notched characteristics in the satellite communication band (7.25-7.825 GHz). The antenna, which occupies a size of 45 × 36 × 1. 6 mm3. Surface current distribution to analyze the effect of slots. The gain of the proposed antenna varies from 0.5 dBi to 6.0 dBi. The group delay is found within 1ns expect notch band.
