Abstract
Single chip passive RFID tag applications use mixed signal circuits including embedded nonvolatile memory, analog radio frequency circutry and digital logic circuitry. Use of ferroleectric memory has certain advantages over other semiconductor memory types. Fast write cycles guarantee completion of write cycles and uncorrupted data. Low voltage write cycles provide long write distances that are equal to read distances. Circuit design is simplified because charge pumps typically are not required for operation of the ferroelectric memory.
