Abstract
Dimensional stability in terms of spirality is one of the major problems of knitted fabrics. It is very essential to control the spirality by controlling different parameters behind this in order to maintain the proper quality of textile products during uses. In this paper a fuzzy control system is proposed to observe the impact of spirality with respect to four parameters such as yarn count, yarn twist, stitch length and tightness factor. This system analyzes these four parameters and gives the final output. This system can be embedded using FPGAs and CPLDs so that it can help textile engineers for solving dimensional spirality.
