Abstract
The differences among images formed with the same radar viewing direction, but with different radar motion directions, are a pressing issue for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) automatic target recognition. An efficient algorithm that exploits the essential three-dimensional target information and the basic characteristics of SAR image formation is proposed to manage the problem. A proof-of-principle experiment using SAR images of a target produced promising results
