Abstract :
Vehicle Platooning is one way to greatly reduce many problems such as air pollution, traffic jams and traffic accidents. Intelligent Transport System, ITS, supports Vehicle Platooning by data propagation using Inter-Vehicle Communication. In platooning, the members of platoon change frequently, because of the mobility of vehicle, it is necessary to manage platoon dynamically. However existing experiments of platooning are not having a dynamic management. In existing experiments, fixed platoon-ID of each platoon is allocated in older to identify the interplatoon vehicles and data propagate in broadcast or unicast. Fixed platoon-ID is unable to adapt to a dynamic environment like actual traffic environment. In this paper, we present Filter-Multicast, which realize allocating dynamic platoon-ID, and achieves dynamic management and platoon multicast. We evaluate our proposal using simulation, and show the effectiveness of the proposal.
