MIKON-2004 certificates of appreciation

Distinguished members of the MIKON community received special certificates of appreciation during the conference banquet. This certificate was awarded in recognition of outstanding contributions to the technical program of MIKON Conferences over the years and to promotion of MIKON among the world\´s microwave community. In 2004 this certificate was awarded to: Professor Bogdan Galwas from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland; Professor Erik Kollberg from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden; Professor Leo P. Ligthart from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands; Professor Marian Pospieszalski from National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO), USA; Professor Boguslaw Smolski from Military University of Technology, Poland; Doctor Edward Sedek from Telecommunications Research Institute, Poland, in recognition of the organization of eight consecutive MIKON Conferences. For the first time Certificates of Appreciation were presented at the 14th MIKON-2002 Conference in Gdansk. The following persons, who had rendered notable services to MIKON, were then distinguished: Professor Tibor Berceli from Budapest University of Technology & Economics, Hungary; Professor Franco Giannini from University of Rome "Tor Vergata," Italy; Professor Krzysztof Grabowski from Gdansk University of Technology, Poland; Professor Tatsuo Itoh from University of California, Los Angeles, USA; Professor Andrzej Jelenski from Institute of Electronic Materials Technology, Poland; Doctor Andrzej Kraszewski from Russel Research Center of Agriculture, USA; and Doctor Roman Dufrene, General Manager of the Telecommunications Research Institute, Poland.
