Abstract :
Articles and editorials appearing in control engineering trade publications have raised the question of whether traditional ladder logic is the best programmable controller language to use with the complex control systems of the present and the future. The author addresses this question and examines how traditional ladder logic can be used in conjunction with a more recent programmable controller language, i.e. sequential function chart programming
