  • Abstract
    The design of a L/S/X tri-band dual-polarization (TBDP) shared-aperture microstrip array antenna for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) applications is introduced, which is assembled by two dual-band (L/S and L/X) dual-polarization shared-aperture sub-arrays and one L-band dual-polarization sub-array. The measured results give wide impedance bandwidth (VSWR≤2) of 13.4%, 14.8% and 16.8% in L-, S- and X- bands, respectively, and the array isolation of better than 37dB in all three frequency bands, with cross-polarization level of below -27dB within the main lobe region for the three bands.
