Abstract :
ldquoOne-activerdquo LASAR is a kind of linear array 3-D image SAR system that only one element of the linear array is active at every footprint. To verify the feasibility of ldquoone-activerdquo LASAR, two X-band transmitter and receiver antennas are mounted on a 2D motion control system. Then, we control the antennas moving with a specific trajectory to synthesize a virtual sparse 2D antenna array. Finally, the back-projection algorithm is employed to reconstruct the RCS distribution of the 3-D observation scene. The 3D imaging results of ldquoone-activerdquo LASAR are present to demonstrate the feasibility of ldquoone-activerdquo LASAR.
