Abstract
The piezoelectric properties of lead-free piezoelectric ceramics of (1-x-y)Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 (BNT) - xBaTiO3 (BT) -yK0.5Na0.5NbO3 (KNN) (0.05 ?? x ?? 0.07 and 0.01 ?? y ?? 0.03) have been studied. Measured bipolar strain behavior showed that all the compositions studied can be categorized into two groups: ferroelectric-order dominent and antiferroelectric-order dominent one. At the boundary of two groups, especially high piezoelectric response, i.e. large-signal d33 was observed, which indicates that the observed high strain is closely related to the field-induced antiferroelectric to ferroelectric phase transition.
