Abstract
Nowadays, GPR is one of the most effective tool for enabling the safe use of the underground; in fact, amongst the various state-of-the-art methods available, it is a noninvasive technique capable of accurately locating both metallic and non-metallic buried objects. After a multi-year development, a new system has been recently introduced on the market; due to the combined use of low and high frequency antennas (dual-frequency antennas), the use of array of sensors in different polarization and dedicated data processing techniques, the equipment enables the recreation of a 3-D volume from spatially correlated data, with clear benefit in terms of achievable performance and productivity.
