Abstract :
When highway is built in Karst mountain areas of China, it is important for us to detect Karst distribution which would trigger embankment sliding, subsidence and other geological disasters. So, karst caves under different conditions, such as stochastic ground surface, random covering layer thickness, different filling styles and depth were simulated by Finite Element Method(FEM), which got the reflecting features in GPR profiles. Then, exploration of GuiZhou highway and borehole verification were introduced.
