  • Abstract
    We design and fabricate a double-layer slotted waveguide array antenna having a wide bandwidth and a high efficiency for 120 GHz band and 350 GHz band using diffusion bonding of laminated thin metal plates. The fabricated 120GHz-band antennas are measured in two types of systems to examine the performance. The firstly fabricated antenna shows about 65% efficiency with 31.5 dBi gain around the design frequency. Furthermore, error-free transmission up to 10 Gbit/s in 1 m distance is achieved at the center frequency of 121 GHz using a wireless link system with the proposed antenna. The 350GHz band antennas are fabricated and their gains are measured.
