Abstract :
The modeling, design and measurement results of a 77 GHz receiver are presented in this contribution. The receiver was fabricated using Ferro A6-M Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic technology and implements the video detection technique. A slot coupled microstrip patch antenna with four parasitic elements is hybrid integrated with a millimeter wave Schottky diode. Full wave electromagnetic simulations were used for antenna modeling and optimization. Nonlinear analysis is used for the simulation of the detected voltage as a function of frequency in the 75-85 GHz frequency range. The simulated results are in good agreement with the experiments. The simulated and measured receiver radiation pattern at 77 GHz is also presented.
