Abstract :
Spectrum sensing plays a key role in the development of cognitive radio, but the traditional energy detection is difficult to meet the accuracy requirement. In this paper, the improved energy detection based on cyclostationary we proposed, which not only can detect the licensed user in the complex environment with low SNR and high accuracy but also is easy to implement with low complexity, employs the signal´s cyclostationary to reduce the noise´s influence to the detection performance. As simulation results suggest that the improved energy detection can achieve greater than 90% detection probability on BPSK signals of -11dB, when the probability of false alarm is less than 1%.therefore this is an efficient method for signal detection having low signal-to-noise (SNR) values in practice.
