Abstract :
The R-wave of ECG signal represents the electrical activation of the ventricles, which initiates ventricle contraction, and it belongs to the typical peak value singular signal. An effective way of detecting R-wave in QRS complex of ECG based on alpha´ tuous algorithm and modulus maximum lines are presented in this paper. alpha´ tuous algorithm doesn´t need down sampling and up sampling when in decompose and reconstruction, so it increases the R-wave orientation precision; modulus maximum lines can improve the detection speed dramatically. Experiment shows that, this method can easily realize the accurate orientation and real-time detection of R-wave. Due to its simplicity it could be feasible in a real-time testing or clinical heart rate screening
