Abstract :
The planar dipole antenna with ultra-wide operation band is proposed in this paper. Instead of complex feeding network, only structural parameter adjustments are used to achieve the desired specification and radiating characteristics. The designed antenna is fabricated on a low-cost glass fiber substrate and has a 10-dB impedance bandwidth over 3.1GHz ~ 10.6GHz. Experimental results indicate that the antenna has directional radiation and is suitable for the detection of breast tumor tissue.
