Abstract :
This paper proposes a practical space-time coded architecture that is based on concatenated codes and iterative decoding. Performance results of several systems are presented on MIMO (multi-input, multi-output) wireless channels with flat Rayleigh fading when the receiver has perfect channel state information. Significant performance gains are observed by increasing the number of transmit/receive antennas from two to four as well as by utilizing improved interleaving strategies.
