Abstract
Microwave thermotherapy is being used for cancer treatment. The treatment area is heated by microwave energy, which irradiated from microwave applicator. As an applicator we can use the waveguides and their possible modifications. This paper describes simulated and measured thermal distributions of the lucite cone applicator, which is composed from feeding waveguide and strip line horn (lateral faces are from dielectric material). The simulations and measurements of the impedance matching are presented as well.
