Abstract :
In this paper we demonstrate parametric frequency leaky wave behaviour of a varactor-loaded Composite Right Left Hand Transmission Line (CRLH TL), subject to large signal excitation. Unlike the case of a linear CRLH TL where radiation occurs at the excitation frequency, we observe radiation at the self-generated parametric frequencies of the nonlinear structure. Good agreement between the frequency-dependent predicted and measured scan angles is observed for left-handed region propagation, and evidence of reversal of the propagation direction for right-handed region propagation is suggested.
