Abstract :
Intruder detection method by using time variant Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) channels was proposed (MIMO sensor). It was verified that the antenna height and element spacing suitable for the MIMO sensor by the measurement. It was also shown that 2 × 2 MIMO sensor obtains the higher detection performance compared to 1 × 4 SIMO sensor. However, we conducted only the measurement when considering a person inside the room. In this paper, the performance by 2 × 2 MIMO sensor is evaluated when a person moves near the window. It is shown that distributed antenna arrangement is effective for the high detection performance in indoor and low detection performance in outdoor when considering the person near the window.
