  • Abstract
This paper introduces the research and manufacture of an educational computer-controlled vibration system. This system is a typical multi-input multi-output control system, which consists of a two degree of freedom spring-mass vibration mechanism, two actuators, and two light meters. The mechanism can be excited by the actuators, which are able to generate the harmonic forces. The movement of the masses are measured by the light meters, and the signals are fedback to the computer. Several functions written in Pascal are available for the users to develop their own programs. These functions include the computer interface I/O utilities, the graphic utility that gives real time display of the motion of the masses, and the mathematic functions for analyzing the vibration of this mechanism
