Abstract :
The subject of this paper is the temperature error compensation of a force sensor built on strain gauges. An analysis of the temperature errors has been carried out. All recommended constructive precautions have been applied. Despite this, an additional procedure has been offered, which measures the temperature and corrects the result. The temperature is measured using a platinum resistance thermometry detector element. A proper methodology for temperature calibration of the force sensor has been developed. Figures for the linear temperature dependence of the offset and gain have been included, which compensate the error with sufficient accuracy.
