Abstract :
Functional relationships between the performance of a radar and its antenna characteristics are discussed in the context of a reference airborne radar system. The problem of designing an airborne radar antenna is briefly surveyed. Simulation programs used for evaluating the radar performance are described, together with some numerical results on assessments of antenna structure deformation and antenna damage.
