Abstract :
For the solution of the problem that compaction of loose defects inside ingot is more difficult than forging cavitary defects together, in this paper, numerical simulation with DEFORM software is performed for the compaction process of loose defects inside forging of low-pressure rotor of 600MW steam turbine, the Simulation results are basically consistent with experimental results, it shows that the simulation for loose defects with properties of porous materials from DEFORM is possible, it is referenceable for the study on variation of loose density in forging process of rotor.
