Abstract :
Role of energy consumption of node determines the lifetime of the sensor network. In this paper we will mainly focus on the efficient way to disseminate the data to the sink node. The main idea behind the new protocol (OEP) is that we will select the optimum path without actually sending the data, when the optimum path is selected then the data is transmitted through that path. After finding the optimum path we will compare the new protocol (OEP) with existing SPIN-BC and SPIN-I protocol. Proposed protocol shows promising better results in terms of energy and the lifetime of the network.
