Abstract :
For analyzing response characteristics of ultrasonic transducer under different excitation pulses, response function for ultrasonic transducer must be known. In this paper, the transmission transfer function for an ultrasonic transducer is developed based on a two-port network with KLM model. Transducer response characteristics under different excitation pulses are analyzed and compared by MATLAB simulation. The method to measure the impulse response with a laser interferometer is applied. The experimental results are compared with the theoretical ones. Results showed that the amplitude of ultrasonic transducer impulse response has a relationship with the type of excitation pulses.
