Abstract :
In order to solve the repetition rate stability of Cr4+:YAG passively Q-switched lasers, the saturable absorption characteristics of Cr4+:YAG crystal has been studied. A laser diode pumped AO-Cr4+:YAG doubly Q-switched laser is realized. It was found that, tuned the repetition rate of AO Q-switch, the pulse repetition rate would be locked by the AO Q-switch, which was equal to the repetition rate of AO Q-switch or halfway. This put forward a method to improve the repetition rate stability of single passively Q-switched lasers.
