Abstract :
The authors investigate the detection and recognition of stationary ground targets in high-resolution, fully polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery. Using 1-ft*1-ft SAR imagery of targets and clutter gathered by a 33-GHz sensor, several techniques for improving target detection performance through optimal processing of the fully polarimetric SAR data.
