Abstract
Enhancement of the Faraday effect in multilayer structures is considered. The structures are treated as open resonators. It is shown that the angle of Faraday rotation can be represented as a product of two factors, the first one is determined by the bulk magnetooptical properties and the second is a Q-factor of the resonator. The enhancement of MO properties is illustrated by consideration of the Airy\´s partial waves in single MO slab. This approach is generalized to an arbitrary MO resonant structure and allows us to design scheme with "perfect" Faraday effect with rotation by 90deg and unitary transmission..
