Abstract
With the application of intelligent controllers for a vector controlled induction motor drive, it is possible to achieve high dynamic performance drives. In this paper an Artificial Neural-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is implemented for a vector controlled induction motor. The efficiency of the system is also improved using an optimisation algorithm wherein the rotor flux weakening is done as the system stability is reached. Simulation of a 5 Hp, 460 V, 50 Hz induction motor is presented in this paper and speed tracking is achieved under different operating conditions.
