Abstract :
This paper proposes a fully stacked laminated waveguide dual-band filter in low-temperature co-fired ceramic technology. Taking advantage of the multiple cavity modes, the coupling coefficients and external quality factors for different pass bands are simultaneously achieved by adequately choosing positions of open slots and feeding probes. Besides, the operation bands can be controlled by the geometric dimensions of laminated waveguide resonators. A dual-band filter with third-order Chebyshev responses is presented to verify the design concept. With the multilayer capability of LTCC, all the cavities are vertically stacked, and the filter size can be miniaturized.
