Abstract
Interactive Video-on-Demand systems (TVOD) is an extension of Video-on-Demand (VoD) systems with some additional interactive functionalities such as pause/play, fast forward, fast rewind, slow forward, slow rewind, etc. An IVOD system uses several batching mechanisms to serve concurrent users. The Batching of multiple requests together is beneficial for hot movies. In case of cold movies, reneging probability is more. We have to select such batching policy which is appropriate for both hot and cold videos. In this paper, a survey is done for existing IVOD systems and we have studied different system architectures and scheduling policies comparisons with trials of IVOD systems.
