Abstract
The search for more computationally efficient algorithm is mandatory for PAPR reduction especially in OFDM systems employing a large number of sub-channels. Even though the proposed genetic algorithm in has reduced the computational complexity of the search to obtain a sub-optimum solution but we found that there are other techniques such as the simulated annealing could also produce promising results and possibly with lower computational complexity. This paper has investigated the possibility of adopting an improved version of simulated annealing to achieve a more efficient PAPR reduction in OFDM systems.
