Abstract
A dipole array based periodical absorbing surface (DAPAS) with inductive ground is proposed in this paper. At the operating frequencies of 10 and 20 GHz, while the permittivity of the substrate material is εr = 2.65, in contrast to the DAPAS without inductive ground, the thickness of absorber could be reduced by nearly 40% and the -10 dB bandwidth of reflection could be widened by nearly 70%.
