  • Abstract
    A systematic approach is presented to wiring layouts in nonsquare grids. The approach involves a combinatorial characterization of layouts that can be wired using, at most, k layers, and using algorithms for obtaining the wiring of a given layout. The algorithms run in time linear with respect to the area occupied by the layout
