Abstract :
In a mobile multimedia satellite communication system, which enables high-speed communication in a mobile environment, shadowing degrades communication quality, particularly in real-time streaming services. This paper proposes a new quality enhancement scheme for real-time streaming services for a mobile multimedia satellite system. The results of a field test using an experimental vehicle demonstrate that the proposed scheme can support real-time streaming (video) services without any loss of frames. The proposed scheme requires no modification on the video server or the video client.
